    I have MKV files that I have saved to my MKV file with MKVmerge. When I play it in VLC the chapters work fine. My TV has USB ports that support MKV files, but the chapters don't seem to work on it. Any suggestions?

    Look for a firmware update. Get a new TV. Get a standalone media player with MKV chapter support.

    Media player support built into TVs is rarely robust.
