I'm looking for some help from anyone that has experience with PowerDVD. I use PowerDVD XP 4.0 for all types of playback (SVCD, VCD, DiVX, etc.) because I have a 6 channel sound card (Audigy) and I like the Dolby Pro Logic II for the non-AC3 encoded files.
The problem that I am having is that I am getting vertically stretched video on any non-4:3 aspect ratio encoding. WMP (I'm running XP Pro) plays the video back fine, even in full screen, with the black bars across the top and bottom like you would expect. PowerDVD stretches the video to fit the entire screen even though I have the 'Keep Aspect Ratio' checked and the 'Don't change resolution' checked.
Does anyone have any ideas on what I am doing wrong? I've already unistalled PowerDVD and reinstalled. Likewise for the Nimo Codec Pack (found out that 5.0 didn't work after trying unsuccessfully to install). :-?
TIA
Spock
