Hello. I have an old Go Video vhs/dvd dual deck that is showing signs of deterioration. I have made literally hundreds of vhs to dvd dubs
including commercial vhs tapes. In fact I've only had one vhs tape I could not dub due to encoding!
In shopping around for a new unit I notice some reviewers say their unit won't copy commercial tapes.
What I want to know is-have specs changed over the years in terms of copying commercial vhs tapes?
Are there differences between brands in regards to this?
I have been looking at Toshiba, Magnavox and Panasonic units. Can anyone share their experiences with these or any other brands of dubbing decks?
Thanks in advance for your help
