  1. I am trying to use Avidemux. I have the audio and the video streams and am trying to save them as a combined file. I have tried a few different things and either get sound and no picture or picture without sound. Could someone please post the steps for saving or tell me where to find them to make sure I get both. Thanks.

    What are the video and audio formats?

    In general, in Avidemux 2.5, open the video. At the top /audio/main track /external (select your file). OK out.
    On the left side, make sure video and audio are set to copy.

    At the top file/save/save video .
    Give it the full name including extension eg. video.avi . OK out.

  3. These were audio and video from a dvd that was not finalized and the machine broke so I had to use IsoBuster and then VobEdit. The video is MPEG and the Audio is Ac3.

    If you want to create a new DVD from the files (I'm inferring since you didn't say it exactly)
    Use one of the DVD creation tools like AVStoDVD. They should recognize
    that the files are DVD compliant. Set your preferences to match the existing files
    (NTSC/PAL DVD), load up the files and start it up.

    BY default the program will create a new video_ts folder.

    If you have something else in mind, elaborate a little more.

  5. I have made one movie with both video and sound but unfortunately I forgot what setting I used to get both. I made this movie last december but have been unable to get back to the project until now. I am once again having the same trouble. I am trying to use MPEG video and AC-3 audio. I am either getting audio and no picture or picture no audio. I have the audio set to copy and video set to copy. What should I set format to. At this point I am just trying to get movies that I can watch on the computer.

  6. format => mpeg-ps (mpeg program stream)

    but does the file load properly in avidemux (is there audio & video), or is it damaged ? what are you doing in avidemux if you're just copying? (are you doing some edits ? if so did you cut on keyframes ?)

  7. I had to use isobuster and vobEdit on some unfinalized dvds and am trying to combine the audio and video files again. When I play it in avidemux there is audio and video. Just in the saving as one file again is the problem.

  8. I got one with sound and video. By using copy, copy and MPEG-ps. I would like to improve the quality of the picture. I was able to do that on the one I did back in December but not sure how. Any help would be so appreciated. the video looks so good in the preview window.
