    Hello guys,

I have a very strange problem.

Fact : Video was recorded using Camtasia and UT VIDEO CODEC using ULY2 option (YUV422)

Problem: My players not works (WMC-HC, POTPLAYER, KMPLAYER), No Virtualdub (gray screen) or VideoLAN (han) or Smplayer (No play).

Can anyone give me a light?

With UT CODEC installed - Video FourCC is=CLJR ( look here:
    )
    Without
UT CODEC installed - Video FourCC is= ULY2

    How to solve this?

I have DS codecs Jagabo but no way. Other files using UT VIDEO works, but the dimension is 720p or 480p.

I try various camtasia records...All files have same problem (412x320x60fps). Camtasia no report error.

    Tks for reply.

    PS: I will upload file.

    Camtasia is 32bits software.

  6. There's definitely something unusual about that file. Although it claims to be ULY2 encoded (YUV 4:2:2) it contains a color palette index (normally used for 256 color or greyscale images). I suspect the graphics card was running in a 256 color mode and Camtasia encoded the video incorrectly.

    Hello Jagabo,

    Excuse my delay in responding
    .

I sent your reply for Camtasia staff helper and I'm waiting for a response.

    Thank you for your help.

  8. Actually, it's not a palette index. But there's an extra "indx" which I don't usually see in AVI files.

VirtualDub's hex editor has a hand RIFF Chunk Tree view:
