As I understand it the AM3+ socket has one extra pin hole to correspond to the extra pin on the Bulldozer CPU's. Does this extra pin do anything or is it a dummy pin to force the purchase of a new motherboard along with the Bulldozer CPU? There is also difference in the pin hole size between AM3 and AM3+ sockets.
