Video quality issue!

Hi,

I have a bad video quality ,when i play movies and videos on my PC although these videos are high quality (DVD OR HD) .

PC Monitor "Asus VH238H 23'inch LED"..

VGA : ATI Sapphire Radeon HD 6870 1GB

note:I have also LG LED SL90 Screen when i play the same videos on it via USB the quality is great...so any help??

Describe more completely the difference between "great quality" and "bad quality". Motion blurry, colors muted, interlacing issues, describe also exactly how you are connecting a monitor using a USB cable? Do you mean HDMI?

Update your graphics driver to the latest WHQL certified driver. Change the renderer (output device) in your media player. Adjust the video proc amp settings in you graphics card's setup applet.

The LG SL90 is a self contained LED/LCD HDTV. What kinds of files are you playing from the computer? Over DLNA?

What software player are you using on the PC? Try MPC-HC.

i have some dvd & hd movies and there quality is decent when being played on LG SL90 42'INCH (via usb i mean connecting a usb flash drive to the LG TV) BUT when i play the same movies on my pc the quality is poor (like the movie screen isn't very clean - looks like rmvb format not a dvd or hd movie)
-note:i'm connecting my pc monitor with both HDMI & VGA CABLES but i don't do this with LG TV . I only play videos on it by taking whatever i want from my PC via USB FLASH DRIVE then connecting it to the big screen.

Some movies and anime episodes (most of them are in MKV ,Avi and Mp4 formats)
-I'm using Media Player Classic Home Cinema The latest Version with required codecs ... I also tried VLC & Power DVD 11 and the quality is very bad to (the details of the video isn't very accurate.

In MPCHC go to: View -> Options -> Playback (left pane) -> Output (left pane). In the right pane, under Output, try the different DirectShow Video options. You have to exit and restart MPCHC for the change to take effect.

What's the resolution of the files? Could it be possible your TV is up scaling the files and your PC is not?
Just a thought.

Make a choice ... either connect pc to it's monitor via vga or hdmi ... never both at same time.

anyway the resolution of a video file i'm trying to play is 624x352 and my OS is Windows 7 .. I also have some codecs installed form this site

Don't know how codec packs earned the reputation for the cure all, I personally steer clear of them. As i stated earlier i believe the TV is upcaling the input hence the better picture. To see simillar quality on your monitor try upscaling the video as well.

What do you mean quality gets worse in MP4 formats?

Try turning off the deblocking filters in your video decoders.

Without knowing what the source video looks like there's no way to tell you if anything is wrong in your screen caps.

Your graphics card is displaying that video properly. You can make it a little sharper or fuzzier by changing the Resizer in MPCHC's output device settings. If you don't like the brightness, contrast, or colors you can use the proc amp settings to adjust them.
