  1. I use a VJ (Video Deejay) software called Serato Video-SL.

It allows you to play videos in AVI and MP4 format.

Is there any way I can take my Logitech USB camera feed and wrap it in a virtual AVI or MP4 that would show the camera feed live (not recorded) when played in any media player on the same system?

I used to own a piece of software called "Video Server" that allowed you to stream a Adobe Premiere timeline into any other application via a fake wrapper AVI (likely an AVISYNTH clone).

I've been told on the Video-SL forum that this can be done with Quartz compositions on the Mac, however I am using Win7 64 bit.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

  2. I've done things like that with AviSynth and a capture graph built by GraphStudio:

I don't know if your software will accept an AVS script as input though. If you can't get the application to open the AVS script you might be able open the script in VirtualDub and frameserve from VirtualDub to the application.
