Hi,
I recently came across some sources that resulted in chroma issues when encoding using TFM().TDecimate() ivtc.
Looking at the TFM help file i managed to resolve these issues by using TFM(chroma = True), though the result of this was that the encoding process took longer.
I was wondering whether anyone knew any faster ways that chroma issues might be resolved?
Thanks in advance.

not sure ,sorry
are you saying TFM(chroma=true) resolves that issue ?? (chroma from a field is re-associated correctly) ? -
Yes, using TFM(Chroma = True) will resolve the issue and the picture becomes fine. However, as with many things with encoding/video conversion there are often several different possible solutions to the same problem, some better/faster than others. This thread was created to discover whether there were faster/more efficient/practical ways of achieving the same solution.

you can modify some TFM parameters, look at the docs
e.g. slow =0 will reduce accuracy, but increase speed (might be good enough for matching your specific clip or might screw up some matches)
If you have perfect matching and no combed frames, then maybe PP=0 to disable post processing
You can also try posting at Doom9 for more suggestions
