    It's not possible. The ps3 doesnt support mkv.

    My PS3 plays most MKV's just fine, it is only the ones made with makemkv that don't work. BTW I am using PS3 media server to stream the files to my PS3, I should have already mentioned that but I forgot.

    No, it doesn't play mkv fine. It plays the stream from the ps3 media server just fine but not a mkv directly from a hdd/media. .

    I have no idea how ps3 media server handles mkv from makemkv though. Try http://www.ps3mediaserver.org/forum/ .
