I'm sure this has been asked but I haven't been able to find the answer. I am considering purchasing a Black Magic Intensity Shuttle for my laptop but I don't know If it is compatible. How can I tell if I have an x58 motherboard? I do have an on board USB 3.0 that came with it stock. Here are my specs:
Sony VPCF134FX
Wondows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU Q740 @1.73GHz (8 CPUs), ~1.7GHz
4096MB RAM

Should have looked in that huge thread titled "Intensity Shuttle Problem" for answers....
Either way, like @aedipuss said, unless something has changed, shuttle wasn't working on laptops
