Sorry if this is the wrong section, first time posting here.
But i have some mp4 files, an anime that has english\japanese audio tracks and a subtitle track with it.
All would be great, but i want to play it on my ps3 and not with the english dub, but i can't for the life of me figure out how to make the subtitled forced so i can convert it with xvid4psp.
Can anyone link me to some sort of software that can edit mp4 files sort of like MKVtoolnix for mkv files? (MKVtoolnix usually works for mp4 files to, but for some reason this time it doesn't recognize that there are subtitles)

Extract the subs with mymp4boxgui or yamb. Load it in xvid4psp.

That the only way? There's no gui or something so i can make the subtitles forced? Cause i got like 30 episodes i have to do this for, doing it separately for all would be kind of a pain.

Have you tried any other converters? Try handbrake and hdconverttox and see if they can hardcode subs.

Don't want to convert with that, just want to make the subtitles forced (Come up without having to select them after the file is open)

ok well if you have the srt or text subtitles with the same name as the mp4 in the same folder not muxed then yes they should show automatically otherwise you'll have to select.
-
No they arent a sepearate file, the subtitles are inside the file they just aren't forced on.

	Maybe somehelp: http://forum.doom9.org/archive/index.php/t-126292.html

From what I know you can either name them the same name and have them subtitle external from the video or many different software players alow to have subtitles on default in preferences.

	1. It's not an mkv file, and even when i put it in mkvtoolnix it didnt recognize there was any subtitles at all.
 2. The subtitles are IN THE MP4 CONTAINER, they are not a separate file that i can rename.
