    Removing the region lock it asks you to set everytime u put in a disc, the one that gives u only 5 changes ever before it locks to the one region for good.

    Doubtful. Stuff like DVDFab Passkey or AnyDVD HD were developed in part because simple firmware hacks like that are now few and far-between.

    You can look here and see if your model has a hacked firmware available for it.

    That website is the go to place for all DVD (and maybe BluRay - don't know for sure) writer firmware.
