Hi everyone, I've capturing stuff by using ATI TV Wonder and virturaldub for a while now. The quality is awesome w/ 640x480, but I have a same problem. No matter what I try to capture, if an object moves in a fast motion. Horizontal lines started to appear on the object. And it only happens when I capturing in 640x480.
Is this happening to you? especially those of you who are using ATI All in Wonder.
I would really appreciate you if you can answer my question
thank you.

I have same problem. Finally got my audio problem fixed with some workarounds.

These horizontal lines are interlacing artefacts from the fact that you are capturing at full frame resolution. Apply a deinterlacing filter in virtualdub and the problem sould be solved.

Well could be interlacing, could be other problems. If it's interlacing you need to decide on what you want to do w/ your capture. PC only, deinterlace. VCD = deinterlace. But (x)SVCD supports interlaced source, so do not deinterlace.

I've tried apply a deinterlacing filter, but it doesn't work. Has anyone else having this problem?

I found out it also happens when I watching the TV on my computer, not only capturing.

It might have to do with TV system that is in use were you live PAL (352x288) or NTSC (320x240), with PAL I can use any horizontal resolution from 352 - 720 but vertically I can only use 288 or 576 otherwise I get strange lines (not interlaced lines). So if you are using PAL try 480x576 instead of 640x480.
