I've tried to encode LPCM files to DTS .
Using Audacity I extracted multiple wav .
But this soft extracted the same track and splitted it into two wav files : first of 3,99 GB and second of about 498 MB
( the second is the continuation of the first ) , each one having 6 paths.
My problem is how to merge this two files ??? Should I merge them now , as wav files ??
Or should I merge them after encoding them into DTS file ??
I'm using Audacity and DTS HD Encoder Suite. these two softs are enough for merging that 2 files ??
If no , what kind of soft is necessary ??
PS : I presume that must be a setting in Audacity ,that allow to encode FULL track , not splitted , but I didn't find it
Any help will be appreciated !!

See https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/307747-how-to-link-two-wave-files-together-LPCM-audio
Seems to be a limit of the WAVE format.
Can your DTS encoder use other input formats?
Audacity can make FLAC files, or just about anything else.Last edited by AlanHK; 31st Jul 2010 at 02:59.

@AlanHK
Yes ,My Drives are NTFS formatted.
I thought about such a limit but I don't find the button to increase limit over 4 GB..Maybe in settings are smth. to be setted.....
No , DTS encoder uses just formats generated by Audacity..
No , Audacity can't make FLAC files , just wav. , ogg , and another one....Last edited by Benjy; 31st Jul 2010 at 04:25.

I revised my post above please check it.
You have to either use a different format than wave, or maybe save each channel as a separate wave file. -
I revised mine too

No , I can't use another format , because wave is required by DTS ( Audacity is linked by DTS , because A separates LPCM file into wave files and then DTS encode them into a DTS file , of course resizing them )...LPCM is wasting of time IMHO....
Anyway Audacity separates LPCM files into wave files.. My problem is HOW to enlarge that limit - 4 GB - to 6 GB or higher.......or maybe save each channel as a separate wave file. -
Yes, it can make FLAC and dozens of others.
Upgrade to 1.3 and get the ffmpeg plugin.
Can't you use one channel/file? Anyway, from all I've seen, WAVE has a hard limit of 4 GB.Anyway Audacity separates LPCM files into wave files.. My problem is HOW to enlarge that limit - 4 GB - to 6 GB or higher...
Sony's "Wave64" format can go over 4GB. Audacity can export that too. -
You cannot enlarge it - it is an inherent limit in the wav file format.
As AlanHK has said, instead of using a 6-channel wav file you need to save each channel as a separate (mono) wav file. Each file will then obviously be one-sixth of the size, avoiding the limit.
The documentation for DTS HD Encoder suggests this is the normal (perhaps only) way of working anyway.
