  2. Compatibility is about the same. Write speeds are the same. I don't see how since -R is already established. You've been reading to much of the hype on DVDPLUSRW.ORG site.

    By hype, do you mean lies? Or just your "sour grapes" view? +R does have advantages. We'll see. Give it a year.

  4. I'm still waiting to see the advantages of dvd+rw... Lower compatibility with actual dvd player's is not a plus... they keep on saying future dvd players will be more compatible with the format... we'll have to see... in the Futur

  5. The only possible advantages is improved compatibility with existing/old DVD players and lower price.

    Unless it does both, there isn't really much improvement as a PC drive (over exisitng DVD-R/W) is there?
