Chopper XP, v2.7, is incompatible with Windows Vista, like so many other apps. Is there any other freeware available that will let me simply extract a section of a VOB file (without lossy compression)?

Thanks.
I discovered that the copy of Chopper XP I downloaded was defective. A new download installed OK in Vista. But then every VOB I try to edit brings up a message, stating that the file in the VOB container is in .IVA format (CCTV). What rubbish! Manual extraction also fails.
MediaInfo reports the files I tried to edit are MP4, Mpeg-2, etc. So I suspect Chopper XP is just a bogus app, a marketing tool for folks to draw people to the developer's site. I'll just go the long way and use Adobe Premiere.Djard
