  1. Hi everyone

Is there any program out there to fix a corrupted MP4 (H.264) file? (Like how Divxfix etc works with AVI files?)

I was recording with a HDPVR and the program stopped responding and had to close it.. Which ended up Corrupting the recording, which i cannot duplicate...

Any programs out there ? I tried Quick Stream Fix with the latest Video Redo but gives and error before doing anything

Sorry if im using the wrong terms...
    Any help appreciated...
    Thanks

  2. Ok i have been doing alot of digging about through this forum and other forums and looks like there is no simple fix for this? (If i had access to a mac i could have tried "treasured" but sadly dont have a mac)

Ive read about headers and footers, and im assuming that my file has a no header or footer...
Is there a tutotial on how to enter a header/footer from a working video file i have encoded in the same format?
I wouldnt mind playing around with a hex editor Just dont know where to look in the hex fileitself..
I heard i atleast can get the video file out, which is mainly want i want. Dont care about the sound...

    Any help appreciated.. cheers...

You might be able to do it with VirtualDub. It depends if you can open the H.264 file. VD has a hex editor. If you have a very similar file, you may be able to substitute a header from a known good file. At least you may be able to see what the proper header looks like. If you can't open the file, then not much hope. Or if the file is just zeros, no data there.
