I'm trying to edit my fraps video, it's in 16:9. I don't know which sequence preset should I use. I tried using "HDV 1080i30 (60i)" and my video rendered with weird blackbars. Ultimately, I want to upload this video to Youtube and use 1080p. What are some settings for me to use to accomplish that without spending many hours for rendering? Thanks in advance!

I'm not really sure what am I doing. I rendered the video, and it had like these blackbars (top, right, bottom, left), but I don't want it to have it. I also see it in the preview, I want it to take up the whole screen.

I think it's because of the resolution. My video resolution is 1600x900, but the sequence file created is not. I'm currently trying to find out how can I change it.Last edited by bx510; 3rd Jun 2010 at 17:39.

the sequence settings should match you input footage

for audio, the easiest way would be to use keyframes. You move your CTI (current time indicator, or playhead) to a section and push the keyframe button. Move it farther on and push it again. You can move the section between the keyframes up/down to alter the volume. You'll figure it out when you fiddle with it

For export settings, 1920x1080, square pixel, 30.0FPSLast edited by poisondeathray; 3rd Jun 2010 at 18:04.

Just click and drag it to make it vertically larger (drag near the lower end, underneath the keyfram button, where the "1" is in the screenshot above)

I just uploaded my video and it only went up to 720p on youtube, but I wanted 1080p. Is it because my resolution is to small?

It seems I didn't change the resolution upon export.

You must have used the wrong export settings in AME. Review your settings
