I purchased a movie off iTunes for my kids and wanted to burn it to a DVD for the car DVD player. I tried using ConvertXtoDVD and that wouldn't work. So then I tried DVDfab7 with no luck. Any suggestions? It right now is in an MPEG4 format.

    Thanks,
    Mike

They are drm encrypted so you can't do that easily. Maybe you could use something like tunebite to screen record it.

But it's much easier to just buy the dvd instead of itunes movies.

Yeah, I just downloaded the trial version of tunebite earlier today and it will let you do 60 sec clips before the need to upgrade. It seemed pretty straight forward but maybe I'm missing something???

    Missing what ?

iTunes goes out of it's way to stop you doing what you are trying to do. Tunebite is one method of getting around, if you are happy to pay for it. There are other screen capture methods that might also work, but the simplest is not to give Apple your money in the first place.

Buy the DVD, which can be easily backed up for protection and playback anywhere.

I thought I was missing something on the usage of tunebit as it seemed pretty straightforward. My wife is the one who downloaded the movie and we won't be doing that again as it's a pain in the ass, I'm just going to rip the DVD's I already have an pu them on the ipod.

Screen capping is pretty straight forward, so no, you aren't missing anything.
