I have a pretty good system running WinXP and a Conexant TV tuner. I've been using Windows Media Center Edition (MCE) to capture TV programming and then converting the DVR-MS to Mpeg and that's been working well for me for 3 years. Recently that changed. MCE is now putting copy protection on some TV programs (American Movie Channel, for example). So I need to find another capture software.
Can anyone recommend a free (or low-cost) software? I have basically two hard requirements (if I can get them):
1. Software will capture programming from my Conexant TV tuner on my WinXP system
2. Software has a SCHEDULER; meaning, I can schedule the recordings in advance and they'll start recording hands-free.
Anyone?
THANKS!

edDV, thanks for the reply. However, I've already invested in the setup I have and don't really want to put out more $$ for a different setup.

if it is an analog tuner, using rf input might bypass the protection, though quality will not be as good as using component or av connection on the tuner.
