proplem with converting to .mkv

i record one video file from sat tv with Dvb card kystar2 and progdvb program the recoded file have this Characteristic

video size :768 x 576
Video: MPEG2 Video 720x480 29.97fps [Video (ID 224 @ Prog# 0)]
Audio: MPEG Audio 48000Hz stereo 128Kbps [Audio (ID 192 @ Prog# 0)]

i want compress this video to .Mkv format & codec h264 or other without loss Quality please introduce me one program & best codec
i try it with "automkv" but program not work & i havent any .Mkv output as showen at picture below

i try "automkv" with .ts file format that i recorded by resiver but the same proplem automkv only save log file & output =only 1 temp folder + 1 log file

Try instead hdconverttox(newer program by same author as automkv) or staxrip or handbrake.

ANd this is not dvd ripping or conversion. MOving you to our video conversion section.
