    Hi all,

I'm in the process of converting an mkv file to avi and when I try to run avc2avigui, I get an "Application Error" message.

I'm trying to run this little program on my new Athlon II x2 PC (running WinXP SP3) and I can't get the GUI to work... Running the program from the command prompt does work, however.

On my old PC running WinXP SP2 the GUI works fine. I can't rightly say that the Service Pack difference is the cause of the problem, but it is the most obvious thing.

Anyone else have this problem or can offer some insight into possibly fixing this?

    Thanks in advance.

I think I might have found the problem: it appears that this program requires the installation of the .NET framework from Microsoft.

I'll verify this when I get home later.

Okay, it's confirmed: avc2avigui requires dot NET Framework 2.0 to run properly.

And it has to be 2.0: I initially installed 4.0 and I got a dot NET Framework Version error message.

    Whew...
