Samsung DVD-SH855

Hi

I have read a crack code for a Samsung DVD-SH855M that seems to have been tried and tested. The only problem is im looking to buy a Samsung DVD-SH855.

Is there any difference between these models? Will the DVD-SH855M crack still work?

What was the crack code?
I found 2 or 3 codes for my SH855, none of which worked. They were all codes for other Samsung machines that people had Cut 'n Pasted and swore they worked, that relied on pressing buttons on the SH855 remote control (such as the REPEAT button) that don't exist.
Also be aware that the SH855 doesn't play VCD's or SVCD's.
It WILL play DivX/Xvid videos (provided the AVI's aren't packed bitstream/QPel etc.), but it won't play mpeg video files.
Unless you're getting this DVD/HDD recorder at a bargain basement price, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Hi, I was wondering if either of you had come right regarding the SH855 as we are would desperatly like to unlock to play all regions? If you managed please could you advise on how it's done. I have found a link for how to unlock a DVD SH855M but am a bit worried to try it on our one 'cause am not sure if will damage machine. Thank you very much. Kind Regards, Mishyinnes
