For instance, if I am splitting a particular MPEG4 video file into 3 parts for YouTube, I will end up with two parts that give me an error and the last part is perfect.
The error message I get is from Windows saying something like there's a problem with the audio or error C00D1199 or a corrupt file. This seems to occur about 40% of the time. But usually the last file in the ones that were created by the splitting is perfectly fine. ???
I've used tons of Splitters and i'll post them here soon.
EDIT: Splitters I've used:
TS Splitter
Boilsoft Video Splitter

	Thanks for your response.

I have been using Leawo DVD Ripper to rip DVDs. These DVDs are from my converting of all my VHS tapes onto DVD which took nearly a year. The Leawo DVD Ripper seems to do a good job thus far. I have used Magic DVD Ripper, Aiseesoft DVD Ripper, Aon Ultra DVD Ripper and a few others. Leawo has many options to rip to and since all videos will go up on Youtube, here's what I use: MPEG4 (XVID) 1280x720, Audio AAC.

Here's what Media Info indicates with this latest file:
