Does x264 encoder supprts AVI and mp3 format?

I have tried using x264 encoder with simple x264 GUI to get better quality over compression for AVI files. But I couls not figure out.

My quick question is:
Does x264 encoder supports AVI and mp3 format?

x264 only encodes to h.264 in a raw stream, or an MKV or MP4 container. It does not handle audio. It does not output AVI. Try something like MeGUI, Xvid4PSP, AutoGK, or VirtualDub.

thanks for the reply.
i will try MeGUI, XViD4PSP or virtualdub at my ease, coz somehow i prefer XviD either with lame or AC3 (multi channel) container more than mp4 or mkv. it plays universal without any problem.

AutoGK, VirtualDub and Xvid4Psp can create AVI files. MeGUI doesn't.
