I need help on converting a QT movie to AVI.

I'm finishing editing and subtitling a video on Final Cut Pro (7.2) and the client asked to finish it on AVI. He intends to put it on internet. I have MPEG Streamclip and I guess it can do it but he also asked not to exceed 100MB. I have no idea how to do the settings with MPEGS to achieve that. The video has 11 minuts and I'm using the PRORES 422 on the timeline.

MPEG Streamclip should let you adjust the bitrate to what you need. Click the Limit Bitrate checkbox and type in a number (start at 1000kbps and see what size it tells you it will be). Also adjust the audio down to about 64kb or even 32kb (it's going on the Web, after all, not to a theatre). Keep checking that MB size of the file (to the right of the video bitrate you're adjusting). If available, crank up the quality slider; the encoding will be slower but you don't care.

Let us know how it goes.

Edit: If my math is working okay, a 100MB file at 11 minutes = 9.09MB/minute /60 seconds = .151mbps x 1024 = 155kbps. 155kbps is going to be awful quality unless the frame size is like a postage stamp. Others will probably check my math.
