    Hi all,

    Has anyone tried to upload their DV from a digital cam MV850i to their PC or Laptop?

    My Camera is about 7 yrs old and I have only just started to get interested in uploading..
    I tried using the CD but the program keeps failing...is there a patch?
    I have tried on my old PC- Win XP, but it wanted a 'Firewire' connection..which the PC doesn't have..
    then I tried on my new HP laptop - Win 7.. with a new firewire cable....still falls over..
    Getting very annoyed!!...any help appreciated.

    A miniDV camcorder needs a Firewire* connection regardless of how annoyed you are.

    You didn't mention software. Try WinDV.

    Thanks...the laptop has got a firewire port..I'll look at that WinDV..thanks again, much appreciated...let you know how it goes.
