  1. Hi All,

I'm curious, can you use ImgBurn to rip Blu-ray and DVD's to ISO with AnyDVD HD running in the background to remove the copy protections or must you use AnyDVD HD by itself.

I'd like to use the above method because ImgBurn can create .md5 and MDS filse along with the ISO, all in one step.

  3. Thanks for the info Baldrick. I've been researching this a bit and found this:

    http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=19214

In cases where structural protection exists, ripping with Imgburn is not recommended because not all the structural protection will be removed when Anydvd is running in the background.

Ripping with Clonedvd or Anydvd ripper are better options when dealing with discs containing structural protection.

If one wishes to use Imgburn, it should be used after ripping first with either Clonedvd or Anydvd ripper.
If the original disc contains structural protection, Anydvd ripper produces a rip that is devoid of structural protection. The same can't be said for rips produced by imgburn with Anydvd running in the background.
    True?

Does anyone here rip DVD's and/or Blu-rays with ImgBurn w/AnyDVDHD running in the background on a regular basis and get perfect copies with all the protections removed without any problems?

    Thanks

Yep, it's probably true. I didn't think of the newer protections. I don't rip as much these days.
