    What programs have you tried?

You could try the transcoding features in VLC.

just tried a file with handbrake to mkv, for some reason the audio is coming out of sync. i'll try some of the other programs later. i'm trying some mp4 options from handbrake right now

mp4 seems to work better in terms of audio sync, plus its a lot better than flv imo

Umm... I don't think THAT has an OS X port, either. Not that I'm sure I'd want to use any of the Xlisoft software, anyway...

Hmm. Wonder if VirtualDub works with Darwine...
