Copying Segments From DVD`s Advise.

I want to get scenes from dvd`s i created from dv tapes i no longer have to assemble a dvd with the best bits from several dvd`s, Could anybody point me at a basic way of doing this please.

Use DVDShrink in Re-Author mode for no menus, if you want menus then use TDA.

Many thanks for the reply`s,The dvd`s I am trying to obtain clips from are dvd-vr`s, I have read somewhere i might need to copy to change the structure.

You could try open the vro file from the DVD_RTAV folder with mpg2cut2 or avidemux and cut.

TDA also supports VRO files, if your writer can't read DVD-VR then use IsoBuster.

My burner will read the vro disc, Its about getting sements or clips out and then deleting frames at the beginning and end and adding them together to make a dvd.

Really apreciate the replys, I followed the guide to the point of getting a frame accurate clip from a dvd but am struggling to assemble more than one, Will i really need to use TMPGenc to get more clips together for a burn? I used Nero Vision which managed to assemble the 4 clips i had captured but it wont play each clip unless you select it .

It sounds like you used the menu to make four titles, you need to use the timeline in TDA or Nero to create one title.
DVD Shrink will always create one title for every clip.

Ok, I managed to do what i want using Shrink then Nero Vision, I will look for a guide to Vision and would someone advise me if TMPGenc Author make capturing segments easier, Shrink does it but cant play the clips to more accurately identify the portions i am looking for.Thanks.
