It's had a good run, and part of me wants to keep on using it, but I REALLY need to get off of Win98SE to do my capture/editing.
I have a Matrox Mystique 220 w/Rainbow Runner capture card. I love it, especially since it ignores Macrovision for the times when I archive my VHS collection. One part of me wanted to ressurect it using an old P4-2.4GHz box running 98SE, the other part of me doesn't want to screw around with 98SE anymore, opting to go with an OS that can handle more RAM. On my last box it was in (1.4GHz Thunderbird/512MB RAM) I had no dropped frames with it at all, which I LOVED about it.
So...
All I'm looking for is something dead simple for capturing VHS. I don't need HD, plain NTSC works just fine for me. Any thoughts on a lil box that will ignore Macrovision VHS protection?
