  1. Hi, I'm new here and also to subtitling video. The case is this:
I downloaded an .flv from Utube, converted it to .flv with FreeFLVConverter.
I made subtitles using SubtitleWorkshop and saved the file as .ssa
Started VD, imported .flv according to the guidelines.
    Used subtitlefilter acc. to guidelines
Imported .ssa file and pressed previewkey. That doesn't in the movie with subtitles in the righthand screen.

Please HELP!! Can anybody tell me if the .ssa and .flv have to be in the same folder or something? Is that the cause of my miseery?
    Thanks in advance.

    Videodub? Virtualdub?

You could also try avidemux, load flv, under video choose a video codec like mpeg xvid, under filters add the subtitle filter and load the ssa. Last save as a new avi.
