  1. I tried to copy a VCD I made so my parents could have a copy of the movie to use too but Nero, CloneCD, and CDrWin will not copy these. Any ideas for good VCD copying programs?

    Thanx!

  2. The only program I've succesfully copied VCDs with was Nero. Make an image of the VCD (*.NRG is the extension of Nero's Images) and burn that. That should do it for you.

  5. Padus DiscJuggler - works every time (even when Nero won't)

  6. Another way to do it is simply to copy the DAT files off the VCD onto the hard drive, then make a VCD in the normal way...no CD copying involved. If you have two CD drives you can skip the hard drive copy and just add the DATs to your VCD project. That is, if your burner will take DAT files instead of MPG-extensioned files... If it won't, just copy to the hard drive and rename the DATs with the MPG extension.

  7. if youve got 2 cd drives you can just tick "on the fly" before you burn then ensure one that the source drive reads at least twice as fast as the other one burns .Ive used this method countless times and never failed yet
dont know why its doing that mate ......it worked ok on my system!!!!!!!!!

  8. I just used Adaptec CD Creator's "CD Copier Deluxe" to copy a VCD. I have two cdrom drivers, the source being a Plextor cdrom and the destination being a Plextor CD-R/RW drive.

Well, to make a long story short, it copied the cd just as fast and easy as any other type of cd I have attempted to copy. I tested the duplicate CD in a VCD reader and it was fine. It seems to be an exact copy.

I guess I didn't realize that there was more to it, because this simple method worked just fine for me.

    Thank you

Well ive used every prog noted in this thread without any problems especially NEro and ezcd. I prefer the simplicity of nero and ezcd over padus and clone and the others but all progs that have a copy feature have always worked for me and should for you
