    Hi everyone,

I have captured videos trough my Camcorder but the audio is too noisy.
So I captured the audio with my Tuner and that's less noisy.
The Audio format is the same as the DV AVI (PCM uncompressed) the only thing different is, it's splitted.

I thought this would be easy, just replace the audio and then let VirtualDUb do the rest (with changing framerate)
But it isn't working that way.

There should be few things you should now,
    1. The original DV AVI is also out of sync but VirtualDUB does the job.
    2. I've tried changing the framerate of the original DV AVI with Vdub and manually match the audio in Vegas but that also doesn't work.

Im struggeling the whole day with this problem I can't find a solution

  2. If you couldn't get it in sync in vegas, you probably have dropouts or missing video or audio sections. If this is the case it will never match by just lining them up. You could add silence or blank audio to sections until it matches

    1. The original DV AVI is also out of sync but VirtualDUB does the job.
What does this mean? The original audio is out of sync?

Why don't you just capture from your camcorder with windv or vegas? And if the audio is too noisy, process with some noise reduction filters.

The original cpatured DV AVI is also out of sync but if I change the framerate in Vdub it's in sync.

I thought capturing with firewire was digital?
So I used Windows Movie Maker.

What's the difference between WinDV/Vegas and Moviemaker?
I've used WinDV earlier but then I changed to moviemaker cause I could schedule in Moviemaker.

I've tried Adobe Audition with nois filters but I dont like the result.

I want to sync lips if that's the term.
The audio can start the same in the beginning but later it's just a bit out of sync.
