Hi,
I have a few audio recordingls of some speeches which whenplayed the audio seem to be comming from a single speaker. It might have been a problem with the way the recording was done - given these mp3 files, it works ok when hearing through desktop speakers but it is very difficult to hear the speaches on an mp3 player.
All I hear is a low hiss on one of the speakers.
Is there anyway to fix the mp3 files to be hearable on an mp3 player ?
thank you,
-Avi

Have you tried any audio editor? Like open in audacity, normalize the audio and try other filters and see if you can it better and save as a new mp3. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/help/documentation

I couldnt get the audio fixed by any of the filters - but one thing I could do was to remove the the left channel which was essentially nothing and then made the mp3 as a mono. The new mp3 when played plays equally on both the speakers and that is much much better.

One question I have is if there is any advantage to taking the mono audio file and converting it into a stereo audio ? I mean I see people asking how to convert a mono into a stereo sudio but i dont see why they would want to do it ?
