Capturing VHS with Diamond AIW HD 3650PM

I'm trying to capture VHS and analog cable with this card. Unfortunately, I have been having some problems with the sound. It seems that the sound will intermittently cut out on one channel - or sometimes both simultaneously - at random times. This occurs semi-frequently while viewing TV/capturing and appears to be random.

The card came with a rather cheap looking RCA to mini adapter that plugs directly into the card. I thought this may have been the problem, so I replaced with with a high quality mini to RCA stereo pair. No dice.

Any ideas? It's really hard to find info on the analog features of this card on the net.

1.Reinstal drivers (multimedia).
2. Use alternative software

Your card is powered by Theatre 650. See my advice on other topic about capturing with Theatre 550/650:
