ATI remote control

I have a 9600xt aiw. My remote control stopped working, I think it was because of a Microsoft update interfering with it. I updated the driver from 2.5 to 3.01, which fixed the remote but then the TV wouldn't work! Same thing with newer drivers. I am using the MMC 9.03 version, I have tried 9.08 without success. Has anyone else had this problem or have a fix?

I think you may have to do a complete re-install of the ATI software.
As I recollect, there was a particular inatallation order for the involved.

I just found this in my notes...

installing or upgrading ATI

First set screen to generic 640X480 X 256color generic vga.
in control center...uninstall anything ATI
run ATI uninstaller...just to make sure
if needed... install directX then...

1) win media encoder wmencoder***
2) drivers ***dao***
3) dvd decoder ***CDWIZ***
4) multimedia center ***mmc***

OR.....you might just first try a System Restore back to before the Microsoft update.
