Hi,
I have a mkv with a subtitle I want to edit. I extracted a .sub from the mkv with MKVtools. When I tried to open the subtitle file with Jubler, weird symbols would show up. Is there a way to make the regular subtitles to show in Jubler or a way to convert the .sub to .ssa or .srt, so I can edit the file with Jubler?

Thanks for the suggestion. Your help has been great as always. Unfortunately, the interface is a little complicated and has a lot of commands that I don't really understand.

I just basically kept pressing the skip glyph button until I have a text document with all the time stamps. I guess I will just make a brand new .ass file and input the timestamp.

uh, I RARELY use Jubler anymore. I open the sub file in Jubler, convert to .ass, save it, then open the file in TEXTEDIT. you can do everything there. It takes a little guess work if you're unfamiliar with the format, but once you figure how everything works, you'll always edit with textedit. Oh, if you want a little guide on .ass/.ssa formats and the overrides/ everything you need to know, let me know.Originally Posted by VidHunter
