I have a DVD that is giving me a problem, and I think I know what the problem is but need help in resolving it. Please bear w/ me while I attempt to describe the series of events I've gone through...

DVD Shrink cannot "read" the DVD or the files if I use DVD Decrypter to rip them beforehand. First I tried other programs w/ the same result. Then I decided to try ripping each file individually to find out what was causing the problem. So I did, and it turns out the only one it can't read happens to be an insignificant 22 sec vid that displays before the menu pops up. How can I remove this little segment while keeping the DVD structure intact so that I can still copy/rip it?

I hope this makes sense, please ask questions if I need to clarify anything. Thank you!

I guess you have tried dvdfab decrypter? DVD SHrink and DVDDecrypter have not been updated in years.

Yes I have tried DVDFab Decrypter as well as Pavtube.
My guess is it's the same kind of problem you'd encounter if there was a scratch on an insignificant portion of the disc. When I preview that portion of the DVD using the ripper software I was using (Xilisoft DVD Ripper Ultimate 5) it starts skipping and repeating infinitely about 11sec into the 22sec clip. I don't need the clip in there so I'm fine taking it out if I need to.

ISOPuzzle (although you may also need AnyDVD in the background), ISOBuster or CDRoller

I don't know why I'd never thought of this.

Another option is to use VOBblanker on the ripped files. It may be able to remove the offending bits.
