    Hi all,
I can not possibly be the only one with this need? I have some movies available that I would like to have an overview of a in little more sexy and informative tool than Windows Explorer

Something that gives a sort of cover-flow view (possibly others) of movies, possibly downloads data from IMDB (a small synopsis, actors, genre, rating, etc.) and possibly auto update from the contents of specific folders?
I know this is possible in media center applications such as xmbc and boxee, I wish, however, not the media center functionality - just something that can give me a better overview of my collection.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you in advance.

Besides the Ant Movie Catalog (linked above), check out GCStar as well http://www.gcstar.org/. It does movies, music, video games, wine and other stuff.
Linux _is_ user-friendly. It is not ignorant-friendly and idiot-friendly.

One I use is Extreme Movie Manager: http://www.binaryworks.it/extrememoviemanager/ It can search your hard drives, then find information on the net about the video. Some nice demos on their site you might look at.

We also have Movie Library ++ in our 'Tools' section.
