    hi,

    my XBMC/xbox can't do MKV(h264/aac)@720p. I suspect that if i downsample it to 480p, it should work ... any ideas how i can do this? i'm trying to avoid converting h264 to another format.

    You can use handbrake or xvid4psp to reconvert your mkvs.
