How can i quickly edit a wmv?

I have a 50 min wmv file and all i want to do is chop a second off the start and a few minutes off the end but when i use windows movie maker it wants to re make the video with different quality settings etc and takes ages. Isn't there a way i can just cut those bits off the start and end without having to make a whole new video which probly affects quality.
