OK, here's the problem, i downloaded some music videos and burned them into a vcd, now i don't yet have a dvd player, so i went to my friends house to see if it worked, and his dvd player didn't even recognize the vcd. do i have to run it through TMPGEnc before i burn it even if it is already in MPEG format? or is there another step that i am missing? any comments would help. thanks.

Are you sure you're friends DVD player can read CDR discs? Here's a test can you play the VCD on your PC? You say it's already an MPEG is that MPEG1 or MPEG2, what's the resolution and bitrate?
