I converted a 750 MB divx-avi file to Mpeg1 to burn it to a VCD using Tmpgenc and ended up with a 1.3 gig Mpg file that won't open in media player or in Tmpgenc for cutting it up int two CD's....It worked fine as the AVI file but now just sits there for hours saying "opening media" and still won't open...I have used Tmpgenc many times and it has never let me down...Won't Tmpgenc or maybe even Windows recognize a video file that large...It's just one of those things that I can't move on with until it's solved.....I'm glad to see that there are lots more just as "sick" as I am out there.....Muchas Gracias!!!!!

How did you encode the DivX to VCD in the first place ? if you used TMPGEnc, why didn't you use the Source Range ?
That way you'd encode the file in two parts and won't need to mess around with cutting it up later.Email me for faster replies!

You may have to extract the audio as a WAV with Virtualdub them try converting in in TMPGE again using the WAV as the Audio source.
