After weeks of research i got my new EIZO W2401S.

Well, i have to say i am unlucky.
Some dead pixels on the screen. Gave it back and bought this model:

    LG W2452V.

My problem is that at random times (maybe once or twice a day), the screen goes black for a second.

During that second, the light on the ON switch, is still blue.
This means that the monitor does not turn off for that second, it seems like the graphics card is re-detecting the monitor or something.
After that blank second, the monitor is ok (continues to show the desktop or whatever).

This is pretty frustrating while watching HD movies.

I have already sent an email to LG support and i am waiting for their answer.
With previous monitors, i never had that problem.

I have up to date drivers for my EVGA GTX260. I am using DVI connection.
I am also using a VGA connection with another PC in this LG monitor also, and did not have problems so far.

I suspect that it is a graphics driver-vista x64-DVI relationship issue.

I you have any recommendations, please share!!!

    Thanks.

  2. Could it be a screensaver / power saving feature? Turn them off to be sure

I started seeing that before my monitor died. Took about a month for it to finally go.
