  1. I can't seem to find anything referring to my problem.

I have a MKV file that has subtitles. Using ConvertXtoDVD I am able to successfully convert the file, no problems with subtitles. My problem is, by default, subtitles are enabled. I'm guessing I can't see the forest through the trees, but is there a way to disable this defualt behavior within ConvertXtoDVD?

I would like to keep the subtitles on the DVD, I just don't want to have to turn them off everytime I watch the movie.

Or, is my only option something like IFOEdit?

    Thanks for the help...

  2. dvdshrink after conversion might be the easiest way to re-author without any subs.

I've never seen that happen. I usually have to go to DVD Shrink or Recode to get them to come up automatically.

They have always always been off by default for me. No specific setting to make them on or off by default in ConvertXtoDVD 3.5. You can always use PGCEdit to switch the default behavior if necessary.

  5. Thanks, never thought of DVDShrink, usually only use it when I need to shrink.

The subs are ON by default in the MKV, maybe that's why they are on in the resulting DVD. Will check out PCGEdit as well. I accomplished it in IFOEdit last night, but figured there should be a way in ConvertXtoDVD as well.
