I downloaded a video that has the extension .flh but Gspot shows it as unknown Flash .flv format. I cannot play this video at all. I even tried changing the extension to flv. and .mp4 with no luck. I'm using Media Player Classic and ffdshow. I tried downloading the file again using a different method but it still won't play. The only time it played was when I was watching it in my browser as I was downloading it. It typically downloads to the Temp folder unless I use a different method. Is there anyway to get this video to play?

Any thoughts as to why the video won't play? -
Have installed latest FLV Splitter?
Also use latest Media Player Classic version? -
Please bear with me here. This stuff is starting to get a little confusing.
Even after reading the info about the FLV Splitter, I'm still not sure what it all means. Do I need to install an FLV splitter even though my computer plays FLV files? I don't think I ever installed a FLV splitter unless it was automatically installed with FLVPlayer, ffdshow or Media Player Classic.
I'm going to install the latest version of Media Player Classic. I installed it in October but it's from January 2008. I think the one from January is supposedly the latest stable version, which is why I installed it rather than installing the more recent beta versions. -

FLVPlayer use Adobe Flash Player components.
ffdshow it's only A/V decoder.
Media Player Classic have FLV Splitter as internal filter.
Just download FLV Splitter, unpack to /Windows/system32/ and register (menu Start > Run > regsvr32 FLVSplitter.ax)
Also latest MPlayer (SMPlayer), VLC, The KMPlayer can play those FLV's (with AVC/AAC) and of course latest Media Player Classic (and Media Player Classic Homecinema).
