im trying to convert .rmvb to .avi and it has been an aggravating evening to say the least -.- ..... i finally got the ffmpegx to stop freezing everytime i dropped a .rmvb file into, then i got past the progress.app thing, now when it allows me to click encode, the encode progress skips right to finished and there is no output file to be found. anyone know how i can be helped?

also if its any help, this is what the progress info is:

Try renaming foo.rmvb to foo.rm, in the hope that the info shows more than those 9 lines.

If the [Play] button in ffmpegX plays a Real Media file, then reallib and mplayer were installed correctly.

Does the log show the Skipping Frame message or do you notice missing frames in the output? The first happens often and don't have to point to a problem, the latter might point to a framerate conversion that perhaps wasn't intended.

  6. It just says Skipping Frame in the Info thing. But when i watched it after its done converting, i didnt see any skipped frames so it was fine. but thank you
