    I have a DVD burner and it will not read any DVD-R discs i put in , it acts like there is no disc in the burner how can i fix this

    Please give us as much information as possible, like
    Has it ever worked? Or did it recently stopped?
    Is it a new burner?
    Does DVDRWs and commercial DVDs work fine?

    yeah it plays dvds and it says it will burn them im wondering if maybe the brand of the disc may be the problem?

    Have you updated the firmware?
    Use ImgBurn to see if it can recognize the disc.
